Love this item, but this one doesnt have a clip. That may be a deal breaker for some.

I bought one of the first that shipped with the clip. It has glass-filled nylon scales. Without the clip, the scales are made from G-10.

If you put a lanyard on it, this model (no clip) does slide in and out of a pocket very smoothly.

I ordered the Dewalt one from the FP at 6.70 the other day. Cancelling that and ordering this one instead. It wasn't going to ship for a couple weeks and this one looks a bit nicer!

I had one of these and destroyed it and trashed it. Blade change was extremely difficult but fell out when cutting heavy cardboard.

I have one of these. It's pretty comfortable light and solidly holds the blades. I usually carry the gerber EAB lite, but this one I like for more substantial cutting.

when the blade came out was the black retention mechanism visible? The blade retention prevents it from fall out UNLESS the blade is over extended. The sliding lock button is not meant to go past the middle of the sliding track for normal use, forward of that is for blade replacement.

I agree, I have the clip on mine, and I can't imagine just carrying this loose in my pocket.

Yup - picked one up at the ~8 price and got it today. Nice little item - useful for opening the other packages received today. Doubtful I'll EDC it (I WFH and don't get out much anymore) amnd might use it as a fidget device while working at my desk.

I love that Amazon has the price checker built in so you can see the seller scamming people

I could see for a job, but otherwise are people really EDC what is essentially a box cutter?
