Correct me if i'm wrong but was the price spiked up beforehand to make the deal look good? I thought it was the 16gb version at first glance but it's actually the 12gb model

FYI on the 'ATS' (Atlas/Megalodon) series: these were originally designed for the Asian market with massive dual-ball bearing axial fans and backplate ventilation. It runs surprisingly quiet and keeps temps under 65°C even under full load stress tests.

Way off. This is on par with a 4070 super.

Based on GPU, HDD and RAM market now and for probably 2+ years of not forever, I'm using my 2070 super until it blows up!

I only want 1440 and mostly pre 2023 games so I'll be ok I guess

This is a normal price. Just got a 9070 GRE OC gigabyte for $450 from newegg with a combo discount.

Totally agree. Was a hardcore SD'er since the early 2000s. Deals today feel more like company-promoted rather than a grassroots-level discovery.

Yeah i find myself coming here less and less. I think ive used it for like 20 years but lately its just shill garbage and fake out deals with inflated MSRP. I find better deals on my own these days.

Case in point... Bought a 9060XT 16gb in Feb this year from Newegg via ebay for $420.

I don't think they made a 16gb version this time. The previous 7900 gre was 16gb I have it.

They sure did. There are several 9070 OC 16Gb variants. Here's just one of them:

The 9070 GRE isn't just a 12gb model of the 9070, the GRE is about 17% slower than the normal 9070.The MSRP for the GRE is $550. I'm seeing a lot of these cards go up to $570+ so I consider this a decent deal.
