The game has some type of forced time mechanic for leveling up or something. One of the most renowned mods on PC simply removes that, which won't be available on console.

Literally what the game is about. The time mechanic is to make you choosy about which paths to go down and when. Seems dumb to take that away. But to each their own. I will say this game is incredible and by far the best vampire game we've ever had. It's totally engrossing and atmospheric and fun to play.
