Depends what you want. If you're going to be doing mobile gaming or want to use a stylus, get the S25 Ultra, but if you want the best looking photos, best Android experience and best AI integration, get the Pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL. I own an S24 Ultra which is very similar to the S25 Ultra, and I very much prefer my Pixel 10 Pro over it, but it's a subjective detemination.
Google's Pixel 11 Pro is coming through as a strong Android flagship for camera quality, smooth animations, and productivity focused use, with the unlocked model also appealing to anyone who wants bootloader flexibility and the option to run GrapheneOS. The 256GB version is noted as having 12GB of RAM, while the 7 years of Android, security, and Pixel Drop updates make the $834 price easier to justify over time. The main knocks are heat concerns, weaker gaming appeal than Galaxy phones, and a fingerprint scanner that feels worse to some. A polished pick if camera and Android experience matter more than gaming.
Android power users who want an unlocked phone for custom ROMs, because the bootloader can be unlocked and GrapheneOS can be installed.
Mobile photographers who care most about image quality, because the camera is repeatedly described as excellent and the photos beat other Android flagships.
Productivity-focused professionals who want a phone that can double as a desktop, because it supports monitor output and is described as better for work than gaming.
Some Pixel owners report overheating and poor performance compared with Snapdragon phones, especially on carrier models. Others report no heating issues on the 11 Pro XL bought directly from Google.
It can be cheaper through the Google Store if you have a 10% off coupon and a strong trade-in, and Google One members may also earn store credit. At the same time, Google's 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates make the cost per year low.
The unlocked Google/retail Pixel can be bootloader-unlocked, which is the prerequisite for installing GrapheneOS. Carrier-sold versions like Verizon's may have a locked bootloader and are not guaranteed to be unlockable.
It is positioned more for productivity, work, photos, and Android/AI features than for gaming. For mobile gaming or stylus use, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the better fit.
It's a joke. Whenever you try to sell a Pixel, the market value is less than sht. But recently, I've noticed they've invested big in social media jokers. In various comparisons, most of them are praising the Pixel when comparing it to iPhone and Samsung, but the reality is different. I am still using the Pixel 9 Pro XL and going to change soon. Hopefully, no fkkkng Pixel ever again
I missed the launch deals, but the match of this deal at the Google Store was good enough for me to jump. I have Google One anyway (for Drive storage), so I get 10% of all purchases in store credit, and I usually upgrade every year because it's been cheaper than holding the same device for 3-4 years.

I bought a Pixel 9 Pro against the advice of everyone I knew who'd owned a Pixel. Worst smartphone I've owned since my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Buggy as fark. Still can't click the options gear in fullscreen youtube in browser because of the stupid curved corners.
Still can't explain why I bought a phone from an ad company.

Same phone here. Good experience last two years. Great camera. Next phone, I will probably select whichever android flagship has the best deal at the time on TMO between Samsung and Google.

Have the 11 Pro (updated from 9 Pro) and no issues basically other than it feels like the fingerprint scanner is worse. went with the 512gb model.
Got my pro for 650 at verizon... I am now really wondering wtf I bought it. It heats up bad... it sucks compared to snapdragon chips and the bootloader is locked. This one however, you can install gangrene OS. It also has 16gb of ram and can use it as a desktop if you hook it up to a monitor.
Friendly reminder that Google guarantees 7 FULL YEARS of Android OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for the 11 Pro series. You're covered all the way through 2033! Buying at $834 means your cost-per-year breakdown is ridiculously low.
Except the hardware will be dog food by then. Equivalent would be using a pixel 4 with 6gb of RAM. AIpocalypse may change that.
