The bronze case is the big attraction for me. It will develop its own patina over time, making it a distinctive only you watch.

That is what I thought too only to realize I don't like my watches looking dirty, even if it is a unique dirty. Better to realize this on a sub $400 bronze watch than other options.

I love stuff that wears in instead of wearing out and I've been kinda considering the Tudor black bay in bronze which costs much more. Seems like this might be a better opportunity to test whether I'm into the whole bronze patina thing.

Sub $400 for an ETA movement on a real bronze auto.......we're back to the DROP.COM priced deals on Glycines. If I didn't own the older model of this watch, I'd be all-in. Buy it, bring it home....take the band off and put the watch in a baggie with a hard-boiled egg, in it's shell, that you've just smashed to bits (the egg, not the watch...ideally) and let it sit overnight. Watch the Patina magic start to happen.

If your bronze watch isn't looking like something that was just pulled out of a shipwreck with a skeleton-arm still attached to it, you're doing it wrong.

I own a bronze Oris Big Crown Pointer Date, and the patina adds incredible character. And you can always reset it if you like using a mixture of white vinegar and salt.

Wearing this exact watch right now. I think its one of the best looking bronze ones, due to the subtle fade to the blue on the face, vs being a flat color.

If they're new stock, the movement should be a Sellita SW200-1, mine as been dead on since I got it, literally measures 0s/day.

Downsides:
- I've had it die overnight a couple times if I take it off early, it seems to take a bit longer to fully wind on the wrist than some other watches I've owned.
- The machining is somewhat sharp on corners. I ended up putting it on a NATO strap, but until the I could feel the corners of the case being scratchy on the stock strap. There is also a raised indicator right at noon on the bezel that has sharp edges. My kid scratched himself on it while climbing on me with it.

I have a similar, the GL0265 and I absolutely love it.

It feels so well made, fit and finish and detail. The sweep is smoother than I'm used to too, with my other automatics, but I usually stay in the $200-$300 range.

Pure lies. I checked other sources and the original price is no where in the $1600. Other places between $450 to $600 ir price range.
