Tempted but with the recent announcement of the new version that takes up half the floor space with supposedly the same performance I'm torn. The new compact version (RP-1400CSW) doesn't come out until November and is priced at $1,099 but doesn't seem to have any 3rd party reviews available yet.

Damn, I'm so conflicted now. I've been waiting for the subwoofer to get down to $700 again, and then now I find out about the replacement that's smaller

depends what you want it for. music or cinema. i think the rule of thumb is ported for movies and sealed for music

Can't imagine the sealed will have the same deep bass output as this with half the volume to work with
