These parchment liners are mainly valued for making air fryer cleanup easier while still cooking fries, wings, bacon, and chicken normally. They help keep crumbs and grease contained, and they can make food easier to lift out of the basket. The main cautions are that empty liners can lift into the heating element and catch fire, so they need food on top and should not be preheated alone. Flat foods may crisp less evenly, though the liners still seem to work well for most uses.

Wouldn't this contaminate the food due to its silicone layer and chemicals in the paper?I won't trust items made in China that touches my food directly, especially in high heat.

If anyone wants to save $2, they have an option to purchase "used, like-new" option! 🤷

Wait, where does it say made in China? I thought Baker's is a Chicago company
Being a US company doesn't mean your products are made in the USA. As a matter of fact, if you visit their site, it doesn't say their products are made in the USA, it says they are a US company and "Made According to US Standards". That last one tells me they are NOT made in the USA.

They seem to be careful not to show the back of the packaging or actually tell us where they are made so it is fair to assume CHINA.

EDIT: Some Google searches confirms the products are made in China and shipped to the USA for distribution.

The reason FDA exists, but when you buy from overseas, just check manufacturer name in fda database. If they import to USA, they must be registered and approved, you'd be surprised how many are in FDA blacklist.

Only thing I don't like about liners like these is they catch fire! I've been using aluminum foil or a silicone tray when available.

Good deal. I bought this item for $11.99 about 6 months ago. They work well, though you need to make sure you do NOT preheat empty parchment paper/liners in the fryer, or they could get sucked into the heating element and burn/catch on fire.

How I use them: Preheat the air fryer, take out the drawer, place the liner down, and place food to air fry on top of the liner. Make sure the food holds the liner in place. Then put the drawer back in the air fryer and cook at whatever temperature is needed. By following these steps the food keeps the liner in place and the air fryer fries the food.

I noticed some food doesn't crisp up as much (french fries, one example) when using the liner, but it's still worth using the liners as it saves a bunch of clean-up time. After you are done air frying, take the food off the liner then dump the liner in the trash. Most of the time no oil/grease escaped or soaked through the liner, and no time needs to be spent cleaning the air fryer tray/drawer.

To keep the liners from flying into the heating element, I place a heat-resistant aluminum trivet on top of the parchment liner and food to hold it down. Something like the one attached, except mine is square and looks somewhat different. I think it came as an accessory to an older Instant Pot.

I also use a silicone air fryer liner for certain foods, such as breaded chicken tenders or fish sticks. The raised ledges(?) at the bottom of the liner help elevate the food off the floor. I found it's best to flip the food midway through cooking. Even though the silicone liner is easier to clean than cooking without one and is microwaveable, it still needs cleaning. I use parchment liners for food that's harder to clean.

I tried using air fryer magnets, but they were way more trouble than they were worth.

Okay I'll bite.

You know... plenty of folks grew up eating food items cooked in China using Chinese utensils in high Chinese heat... and they turned out just fine 🤷

They have these with holes punched out for anyone worried about heat circulation. BTW don't put these in without food on top or they get sucked up into the heating element and catch on fire. Ask me how I know.

Is there an advantage to this over tin foil? Also, for most air fryers it needs to circulate air under the food (it's why there's holes there), so I'm not seeing how these paper liners work

Bought some from Sam's that were too small. I'll give one of these a try.

I've caught several of these things on fire. Skip it and just clean after use.
