I just used mine to change wheel hubs, knuckles, axles after 16 years of rust . It pounded off all the nuts/bolts that would have been impossible without a heavy duty impact. One hard to get to bolt with impact I tried a breaker bar 3ft, no luck. I had a last resort 16 inches of extension through a hole straight in. The Ridgid pouded that 203lb torque rusted bolt out in about 20 seconds. I'm sure it ain't the top dog but for 69 bucks its a winner.

This is a brushed version, but with LSA it's a solid deal.

Valid point. But if you're talking DIYer, you're not using this thing everyday. You're probably not even using this thing once a month. You're using it every couple of months to rotate tires or do some light automotive work.

Brushed or Brushless not a big deal for occasional use in my opinion

Direct Tools Factory Outlet has the whole kit w/ 4 Ah battery and charger for $90 + $.750 shipping. https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ts/r86215k

Or you can sign up for texts and get a Free Ship code.
If you have a DTO store nearby , I believe it's 50% off in-store.

Double check your impact sockets are 1/2" and not 3/8"

I used this model while working at an auto shop for over a year until I bought the brushless model and I was very pleased it handled a good punishment and it's still going strong at home now.
