I can't believe people still fall for these carrier "promos" thinking they're getting a free lunch. It's just an expensive 3-year contract in disguise. Between the mandatory $50/month "Pro" plan add-on and the $20/month tablet line, you end up paying way more in inflated service fees than the devices are actually worth. Unless your job is footing the bill, falling for this is just goofy. Buy outright and go prepaid instead.

US needs some disruption in the phone segment. Buy unlock phones and chose which one you like based on pricing. Too much inflated prices with all these big vendors

Not just that, these phones are locked as well. After years of selling unlocked phones, they bribed the right people to let them lock the phones again.

Only works on phones that cost more than $1200. Base Iphone 18 Pro is $1199.99.

The only truly good phone deals are the Google Fi deals at launch for the Samsung Ultra series. That's a straight 50% off with the free storage upgrade and 120 days service factored in. I doubt those will last much longer.
