300s usually serve as rear surrounds.

If you need Atmos, era 100s. If you just need surround just ones or one SLs would be fine.

100's do not do true atmos since they don't have upfiring speakers. 300's are best option as rears for atmos.However, I have 100's as rears and find them to be more than sufficient.
