I have found this hand vac good for not much more than picking up dried cereal. Don't use it for picking up small amounts of dirt and sand. Eventually comes out of exhaust, pelts you and grinds on motor. The wet-dry one performs so much better.
I own Ryobi everything and had this. Skip it and get the Shark Stratos DuoClean. Gotta have the dual rollers unless you enjoy spending your days disassembling brush heads and cutting hair off rollers.
I bought this stick back in June ($200 with 3 batteries deal) and I use it all the time as our main vacuum. Highly recommend especially if you are already invested in the platform. Note that the stick came with 2 attachments and disconnects at the top which may make the handheld a bit redundant. But at this price (I'm also seeing $140) it probably wouldn't be a waste to have a second option.

I bought the same deal back in June and I think it's a different vacuum than this deal. The one we bought they call the Pet Stick Vacuum. It's a brushless motor and wider than this one from what I can find in the product details. Luckily, ours seems to get good reviews in every listing on HD's site.

A common fail on all these is the belt/motor on the floor part/attachment. A replacement is usually $90. That's a hard pill to swallow making the "stick" useless with out the bottom attachment

A refurbished Dyson V8 for $169 is a better overall vacuum. I bought one of Woot a couple months ago and the battery was completely dead, did not hold any charge. I am glad I checked into mfg warranty before returning it. Dyson sent a brand new battery. Just make sure you buy it from an authorized dealer.
I bought the HAND vacuum unit by itself for a car/travel vacuum instead of dragging the Dyson. Been very happy for that, also it's better at pop corn than my Dyson V12
I have one of these. I'm thrilled with it. It's not used constantly, but it's the one thing that got me using my vacuum at all. I hated the thought of grabbing my other one out of my closet and unwrapping the cord and dealing with it. It's taken a beating over the past couple years, but still works. I like it better than the Dyson we had when I was living with a friend. It picks up litter, but does get clogged constantly with cat hair, and trying to get it out constantly can be a pain with their design. I might try something different in the future, but I'm still happy with it and I don't have to worry about the batteries going bad, like my old stick vac.
