They won't ship to CA:

"Thank you for choosing Menards. As a result of the burdensome changes in California law, including California Senate Bill 253 and California Prop 65 regulations, it is no longer financially practical for us to fulfill orders to California addresses at this time. We value your business and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

A bit dramatic but sure.

I didn't think Menards shipped to California quite a while back. Wish we had them here.

And not really dramatic given that they don't have brick and mortar business in California. They probably don't do a ton of online orders and so it's not worth for them to go through all the trouble just to ship a few orders here and there. And they're being transparent which is better than a lot of sites. That would just say sorry we can't ship your order.

Dramatic indeed. Not very professionally written either. Honestly, it hints at a politically biased intern, who wanted to get their point across without seeming too political and losing their job. There was no need to state "burdensome" that boldly.
