It seems like a decent price. Lowe's has it for $40 and the list price is actually $60. 10W but my question is while it seems handy to take the same battery as other Skil tools, if you have an extra battery, wouldn't you want it save it for the job you might be doing?

Many of us have a lot more than two batteries for our cordless tools.
I paid $15 for my 12V speaker during the November 2025 SKIL clearance at Lowe's. After the discount then add shipping and taxes this 20V speaker came up to $49!

My opinion, go for the 12V speaker, the bulk with a 20V battery especially a 4Ah or 5Ah is just too bulky and heavy.
You get a longer run time with the 20V model and a tad bit more bass, but if you have EQ settings on your phone or listen to podcasts or just want to fill the air, sound quality is about the same.
