Me neither. I feel a bit silly knowing that I'd be paying at least $20 more for the metal band on this one, which I fully intend to replace with a far more comfortable NATO strap asap. From what I've seen owners post, yes it takes 20mm aftermarket bands, a hair narrower than the 22mm that previous gen Seiko divers like the SKX173 used.

What's the point of an orange face "diver" rated at only 100m? Why Seiko no make midsize iso certified auto divers anymore?

Seiko divers go great with rubber straps too

Because these "5" series Seikos are intended for casual wear. They still make diver watches for actual divers, which are 200m certified, a bit bigger and cost a good bit more.
