This is actually a pretty amazing deal. However, I've purchased these about a month ago (for about +$50 more too!), and they are just "ok" in my opinion. The case controls are very gimmicky and slow. The phone app is MUCH better, and quicker to use IMHO. However, I also have the Earfun Openjump and the Shokz Openfit 2+, and I would HIGHLY recommend any of those other two over these. (Side note, all of these were used on recent top Pro Max iPhone models, top Samsung foldable, pixel pro models). The Earfun, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is the best in audio quality volume levels fit and comfort. And... is probably no more than $60 on Amazon right now. My only con to those, is the lack of wireless charging on the case; and the case is also very scratch from if you keep it in your pockets with anything else in it. Quick solution is to get a cheap case cover from amazon, maybe about 10 bucks or less. Especially if you use any Android wireless ldac features, those are a no-brainer. The shockz, feature-wise, have every box check for me, and why they are also one of my favorites. However if I had to choose between those two, I would pick the Earfun openjump's any day. Just my $0.02

Picked up a refurb pair off Cleer's eBay store over the Summer for $110, and for the most part, they're pretty solid. The case controls are similar to JBL's Tour Pro line—even featuring a convenient cleaning mode—which lets you manage settings right from the case instead of pulling out your phone. Unfortunately, the Arc 5 case dropped wireless charging, which is a step backward since the Arc 3 had it.

Soundwise, these stand out as some of the better open-ear "hanger" type earbuds available. Audio quality is very good, and the app includes several EQ options which include Dolby Atmos and THX that are great for movies and games, (though for music it's just okay). The bass is adequate but won't "boom" like traditional earbuds since these are open earbuds, so your mileage will vary.

At this price they're definitely worth taking a chance on. I use these at the office mostly since they have multipoint and they have pretty good call quality. If you don't mind refurb, Cleer's Ebay store has these now for $95.00 + Free Shipping.

I'm just curious why you even bothered to post this deal, since you don't recommend the product.

Hey man why do you think the 3's are priced the same as the 5's on eBay? Even on Amazon, seems like the lower number versions are holding their price

I have the previous gen and like them, but don't see how the quality justifies the price. Like others have said, there are other brands in the area of $30-$60 that get you almost just as good. You'd be better off buying one of those and a pair of nice headphones for high quality listening and pay about just the same.

Any deal on ARC 5 gaming (include USB-C dongle)? Cleer sell it separately for $25 and I assume it will work with this but I assume the ARC 5 case won't have a slot to store the USB-C dongle while ARC 5 gaming case should be able to store the dongle?

With the USB-C dongle, this drops latency down below 30 milliseconds, meaning sound effects are completely instantaneous. The ARC 4 Plus utilizes standard Bluetooth 5.4. Even with Snapdragon Sound and aptX Adaptive/Lossless, standard Bluetooth will still introduce a minor delay (usually 80ms to 150ms depending on the host device)

The ARC 5 Gaming features THX Spatial Audio equipped with a dedicated Game Mode profile. This works alongside 6-axis head-tracking to build a much wider 3D environment specifically tailored to track environmental audio. The ARC 4 Plus also has fantastic spatial immersion with Dolby Atmos and head-tracking, but its tuning is balanced strictly for music and cinematic streaming rather than directional gaming cues.

It looks like the Arc 3 and 5 (refurb) are the same price on Cleer's Ebay Store.

I believe the Arc 5 gaming version was just released (got an email about it a few week's back). So I wouldn't expect a decent discount until the holidays.

So my understanding of this 6-axis head-tracking is....

Cleer ARC 5 audio head-tracking works by anchoring the game's sound to your physical screen, turning it into a "virtual speaker." Instead of forcing you to look away from your monitor, the 6-axis sensors track your natural, small head movements and leans. When you tilt your head or lean closer to the screen, the earbuds dynamically shift the audio to mimic real life, keeping the soundscape perfectly locked to the display. This tricks your brain into perceiving a massive, 3D world where audio objects exist outside your headphones—allowing you to pinpoint enemies or environmental details using your natural human instincts.

Anyone try using this with games and see how it affect the sound and how pinpoint tracking accuracy it is?
