Okay but hear me out. Pink Floyd albums are so good that they should be heard in their entirety. Not with a greatest hits album.

I'd start that spark with streaming some Pink Floyd for free, not a $30 album if that is what you are inferring.

I see an offer for 30% off this album if you sign up for Amazon Music Unlimited. It starts with a 30-day trial. I wonder if you sign up then cancel within the 30 days, you save $10 on this album?

It's also a really strange mix. They certainly focus more on their most popular albums with a lot from Wish You Were Here, The Wall, and Dark Side of the Moon which I would expect. Yet nothing from Animals, one song from the Syd Barrett/psychadelic era, one off the Final Cut (which the band would agree is really just a Waters solo album), and 2 from the post Waters era. They also jumble it all up besides the ones that have to be put together like Happiest Days of our Lives and Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2. It has to be a tonal mess as each era of the band is very different. Yet the albums tend to work really well with songs blending into one another at times except a handful when the band was going through some transitions.

That is a long way of saying I agree. If anyone wants to get into Pink Floyd just get Dark Side of the Moon and then go from there if it sounds like your thing. They weren't really a band that was trying to make hit singles and the albums as a whole should really be listened to.

I'd venture to guess the duck song is not in heavy rotation on Tiktok these days.

I have been a Floyd Fan since 1979 when I was 10 and heard Another Brick in the Wall the first time at a skating rink in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Try as I have, and I own every album they ever made, I just cannot get into the stuff when Syd was with the band. Too trippy for me, still to this day. Waters is a narcissist and a WANKER but, that is kind of true for the front man for most bands. It is kind of a needed skill to front a global band like Pink Floyd. This is also what ultimately cost Syd his sanity, and he checked out of life and into an asylum where he died years later.

I see no reason to pay 30 bucks for a jumbled up mix of a dual album that was clearly assembled by a non listening fan of the band.
