As a boomer I've been trying to convince myself that digital games aren't so bad and they make sense from time to time but this seems like one of those games that I would only be playing at home with other people while docked so might as well get the cartridge version.

Quite the opposite for me. I know games like these will last 5-10 years until Switch 3. And by then it could be just a $10 upgrade pack to get upgraded features, So I will buy these digital so I can boot them up anytime without cartridge. Games like Mario kart, party, fitness boxing, etc.Games like Pokémon might become collectible and one play-through is enough to catch the Pokémon and transfer to Pokémon bank. So cartridge, play, and sell, or keep as collectible.Same with games like Zelda and fire emblem one play through is enough and are very sellable. So cartridge for those. I don't want to be switching between 2-3 serious titles. Just 1 serious title as cartridge in the switch 2, the party games as downloadable /and all accessible at once.

I guess that makes sense for someone that wants to sell games.

Do you think people buy and play those old collectible games without remake? There are a couple versions Zelda, or 6-7 Mario and none want to touch even give them away.
