I would be all over this if they would ditch the carageenan and sucralose.

Yeah, and the fact that it contains ace-K and sucralose and monk fruit juice... I mean, come on, pick a lane here, Fairlife Big Grin

(personally I prefer allulose for the taste and healthiness, then stevia and monkfruit)

Other than convenience, is there any reason to choose these over just buying protein powder?

This basically drops the price of the 42g protein shakes to the 30g ones at sams & costco.

Pro: convenience, taste
Con: price, more plastic to the landfills

Good deal for the product, but the product is GROSSLY overpriced to begin with. If you like these just get the Equate version, sure it's 30g vs 42, but you get 12 for under $20...

Technically these are just milk that has had some of the water removed, concentrating the protein. That means it has the same ratios of milk protein types that regular milk has, which is about 80% casein and 20% whey. Most protein powders are 100% whey. In the end everything ends up as amino acids in your blood, but casein takes longer to break down, so some people prefer it for a "longer lasting" protein than whey is.
