I've had need for something like this, but in today's world? It's a no name device with full access to your keyboard, mouse, video and network....I'll pass. to easy for them to have access to the connected device and credentials. At least building it myself out of a RPi and installing the software I'd know what was on it.

It's GL.iNet and you're not going to build it yourself. Don't be ridiculous. It can be powered with PoE, has motherboard connectivity for power/reset and storage for operating system installation

People shouldn't be putting these things things on any network location that has access to the internet anyway, name brand or not. Both are terrible with updates, even if it's some corporate piece of hardware that is incredibly expensive, and has additional subscription licensing, or you're DIY'ing and consistent with patching, and/or doing your own vulnerability scanning and patching. But yeah, any device these have access to, they could keylog and run automations to get into your system again, but it would need to know how to further navigate your OS. MFA on the PC would prevent this concern.

VPN into network, access remote KVM device on segregated physical or VLAN network via port 80/443 with zero outbound allowance, and be safe. Even Pi-KVM, I would lock it down.

Great price for a 4k-30 with ATX power.

GL.iNet isn't a no-name brand lol

I've got the non-PoE version and it's nice. Would definitely recommend if you need something like this
