Only ones I could find from Phoenix are:

to Albuquerque, NM (about 6.5hr drive)
to Burbank, CA (5hr drive)
to San Diego, CA (5hr drive)
to Las Vegas, NV (4.5hr drive)

So, not a terrible deal, but California sucks so bad to try to get around NOT having your own car, that having to rent one will negate any gains vs just driving there in 5 hrs.

The best deal is flying out to Vegas. Vegas is very easy to get around without a car. I just spent 4 days up there a couple months ago, and I drove from Tucson, and I literally left my car parked in the hotel's parking garage the whole time (except for when I drove to the Pinball hall of fame). Too bad Vegas is such an overpriced mess of a place these days, imo.

Yep and with more terms and conditions, blackout dates and other restrictions that make finding the sale they are selling to be mostly impossible. It really baffles my mind why they do this other than hoping someone will just give-in and book something more expensive.

It's doable if you leave late night and stick to 85, I guess.

The blackout list is longer than the list of routes that actually come up at $59. Checks out for Southwest lately.

Lol ya, maybe I am going by my own driving. I typically do about 82-84. I try to stick to no more than 9mph over the speed limit.

But ya, I just plugged it into Google Maps and it says almost 6hr drive, but you definitely can do it quicker Big Grin

I realize SW plays around with pricing or these sales, but I do consider that fuel prices aren't helping either.
