really great deal. i run a lot though and i have one warning to leave here: the evo sl is one of the least stable trainers out there. if you don't run often and don't land straight on your foot (i.e. you have some level of pronation) over time you risk ankle rolls with this shoe. for me this isn't ideal so i've never purchased this shoe as the risk of injury is counterproductive for a training shoe. that said, $80 is a great price for running shoes these days.

I supinate and have around 100 miles so far on my first pair. No issues with ankles rolling. It's not as stable as a plated super trainer but it's a lot more stable than something like the Vomero + which is super squishy

what i said is accurate, but ultimately is up to you to decide what you're looking for in your next shoe

Ordered the SL but returned them immediately after trying them on. The medial side of the shoe felt uncomfortable against my foot. Surprisingly, despite the Vomero Plus having a softer, somewhat squishy ride, I actually find it more stable and comfortable underfoot than the SL.

I agree 100% the stability is terrible and so is the traction or lack there of, and the laces and tongue are horrible BUT it is a very bouncy shoe and very comfortable but I don't use them anymore to run in because of the stability

Are there similar shoes in this price range (on sale) that have a similar bounce with better stability?

I recommend going to a shoe store and start trying on shoes. We are all different. We, runners, complain about everything. But EVO SL and 1080 are probably the least complained run shoes from my experience.
