I try to avoid any electronics that still uses USB-A to USB-C. There will at least one time you'll forget it cannot be charged with usb-c to usb-c and the high voltage will burn it.

Normally you would be right, but an included USB-A to C cable doesn't automatically mean it won't work with C to C. I know this because the x10 and x11 mini aces I've bought both came with the same A to C, and charged just fine with C to C.

You are mistaken or had a bad experience with a faulty charger. A properly functioning USB-C Power Delivery charger starts at 5V.It only increases its output to 9V, 15V, 20V, etc., after the connected device explicitly negotiates that voltage.

Super misinformed, as others have said.

Good to use USB C with any normal charger.
