It's usually a customer return. Shipped and sold by Walmart is surprising

My only concern is the like new listing also shipped by Walmart is 29 dollars more. That being said, are returns easy for walmart shipped items not in new condition? I've never bought used anything from walmart....

Open box usually refers to something like an item returned without being used, or with the original factory seal broken.

"Like new" (or pre-owned) is an informal condition label that can mean an open-box item, a lightly used item, or a refurbished product.

This is not always the case or true, but I would pick open box condition over any pre-owned condition.

This isn't even shipped by Walmart. It's the dumb VIP Outlet in disguised. Please don't post 3rd party stuff from them. They have a long bad history and gets away from it.

This isn't Walmart. Don't get fooled. It's a 3rd party known as Vip Outlet. They will give you run arounds for any return. Walmart doesn't accept 3rd party returns.

The item listed is "sold and shipped by Walmart".

Quite frankly though your comment is likely true as Walmart is closely associated with them. However vip outlet, a platform that sells refurbished and open box, is going to have good and bad reviews like any other platform like eBay.

You ain't wrong, but you can always purchase something new which will be a much more reliable experience.

The big point is that pre-owned and open box products will always carry certain risks, but free returns and a option for 3-4 year warranty can eliminate most of those risks. It just depends on our personal preference Smilie

note: This item's return window has been extended for the holidays and is eligible for return until Jan 31, 2027 (That's almost a 4 month return window).

Once you click on the review. On the bottom you will see Business Name: VIPOUTLET. They are just using Walmart's name to trick people. Not many people will check the reviews once they see it's Walmart selling the item. I'm not even sure why Walmart allows them to change their name to appear as Walmart.

I understand the risk factor from open box, pre-owned, repackage etc. I'm just voicing out how they want to deceive consumers with name change.

That is pretty strange not sure why walmart would allow that....

It's something that's been going on since Wal-Mart started doing site to store orders with third party sellers and it doesn't surprise me that they still haven't bothered to do anything about it.

It's interesting how items sold directly by Walmart say Walmart.com and you cannot click on the business name. But the VIPOUTLET "Walmart" has a clickable business name. I guess that would be one easy way to tell if it's from Walmart directly or 3rd party.
But thanks for the info. I'll have to pay attention more when buying on Walmart. I usually try to have items picked up from the store.
