This 39 piece Duralast metric impact socket set stands out as a low priced way to get a full 1 half inch drive kit with a lifetime warranty. The Cr Mo construction is framed as stronger than Cr V, and the deep sockets are expected to hold up well on larger fasteners. The set does not include every size, with 25 mm, 28 mm, and 29 mm missing, and the smaller sockets can be harder to fit into tight spaces because they are not fully tapered. Case damage on pickup is also a recurring hassle, so it is a practical value play if the included sizes match the job.
Common Questions (4)
No. The set skips 25mm, 28mm, and 29mm, so it is not a complete 9mm-to-30mm run. If you need those sizes, buying the missing singles is the practical fix.
At $45, it is a strong buy for occasional use, especially with the lifetime warranty and local AutoZone replacement support. The sockets are CR-MO, which is stronger than CR-V, and the set covers many common metric sizes in one case.
Yes. In-store pickup has been reported with a smashed blow-molded case and broken latch, even when the sockets themselves looked unused. A damaged case can affect how securely the set closes, so checking it at pickup is important.
The smaller sockets can be harder to get into tight areas because they are not fully tapered. That matters most when working in cramped spots where a more tapered socket would slide on easier.

Not bad for a great set with many sockets, quality is my concern.

These Duralast sockets should perform well. I personally prefer deep over standard socket when working on big fasteners. May have a problem with warranty if Autozone discontinue this product.
Especially for the price and lifetime warranty worth a shot.
Craftsman has been good for warranty claims tbf but they just aren't the same as we all know for quality.
