Material: Chrome-molybdenum
Finish: Black oxide
Six-point sockets: Grip the flats of fasteners to help reduce rounding.
Reduced fastener damage: Off-corner loading distributes force across the flats of nuts and bolts.
Universal joint included: A 1/2-inch-drive impact universal joint offers up to 30 degrees of flexibility for awkward angles.
Storage case: Comes with a blow-molded plastic case.
Warranty: Backed by Duralast's limited-lifetime warranty.
I was looking for a set of 1/2" drive metric sockets to use with my impact wrench. There are plenty of no-brand generic options on Amazon but I prefer a brick-and-mortar store/brand that offers lifetime warranty, which makes any exchange easier down the road.
The big names like Milwaukee, DeWalt are out of my league. I just can't spend that kind of money. I was looking at the basic Harbor Freight 13-piece deep impact socket set for $31. It was on sale for $20 in June but I missed it.
I went to the store and pulled the trigger today. It was not in the aisle. I asked and it sat on a shelf behind the cashier.
