Community Reviews

This Milwaukee M12 starter kit stands out for compact, handy tools and the value of getting batteries, a charger, and a bonus tool together. The non fuel ratchet is praised for its small size, enough power for tight spaces, and usefulness in auto work, while the pruning saw and hatchet get strong marks for pruning, trail clearing, and even small logs. The batteries are described as best for frequent, low torque use and all day jobs. The main caution is that the kit is not ideal for heavy torque, and similar sales have appeared lower, around $90 to $100.

  • Trail clearing and yard cleanup, because the pruning saw and cutters can run all day and the chain has stayed sharp for years.

  • Auto work in tight spaces, because the compact ratchet fits where there is little working room and still has enough power for routine tasks.

  • People who want a small ratchet for light-duty fastening, because the brushed version fits more places and works well for casual use.

  • Frequent battery users, because the pack lasts all day and the hatchet can run nearly a full 5.0Ah battery on oil.

  • Heavy-torque fastening jobs, because the ratchet can flex and needs a breaker bar when a fastener is tight.

  • Shoppers who need maximum speed for regular use, because the newer high-speed version is about twice as fast.

  • People who need strong power for demanding tasks, because the batteries are described as better for low-torque applications.

  • Buyers who need the deal immediately without checking store stock, because the free-item selection can disappear when the chosen store has no inventory.

This is NEVER worth MSRP.

If you're not buying a 5 amp for less than a hundred bucks each you're overpaying

I prefer the non fuel ratchet for size. Been using one for a few years now
I personally use the non fuel ratchet and in auto industries I commonly see the non fuel used everywhere. It's perfect size and enough power.

Feedback from anyone who owns the pruning saw?
Love it! I keep it and the pruning cutters in my cart at all times when trail clearing. Both last all day easily for me.
Owned them for 2 years now, never had to sharpen a chain yet. Crazy.

How's the ratchet? This is the non fuel version right
I think they would be great if you know you'll use them a lot, not very powerful, great for low torque applications. I use my manual set more than the automatic, but if I know Ill be using them all day they are fantastic to have.
