This Milwaukee M12 starter kit stands out for compact, handy tools and the value of getting batteries, a charger, and a bonus tool together. The non fuel ratchet is praised for its small size, enough power for tight spaces, and usefulness in auto work, while the pruning saw and hatchet get strong marks for pruning, trail clearing, and even small logs. The batteries are described as best for frequent, low torque use and all day jobs. The main caution is that the kit is not ideal for heavy torque, and similar sales have appeared lower, around $90 to $100.
Trail clearing and yard cleanup, because the pruning saw and cutters can run all day and the chain has stayed sharp for years.
Buyers who need the deal immediately without checking store stock, because the free-item selection can disappear when the chosen store has no inventory.
Yes. The non-fuel ratchet is valued for its compact size and fits places the newer Fuel High Speed models may not. It has enough power for low-torque tasks and is commonly used in auto work, but it is not meant for heavy torque applications.
They can last all day for pruning and trail-clearing use, and the hatchet's oil reservoir reportedly lasts almost exactly one 5.0Ah battery. The pruning saw is also described as strong enough for pruning and even small logs.
If you do not need it right away, waiting may save money: similar kits have been seen around $90-$100. This deal is still competitive because the batteries and charger alone were compared to about $130 on Amazon, with bare tools often costing much more.
Yes, but only if you select a store that has the bonus tool in stock. If the chosen store has no stock, the free-item option may appear sold out and won't be clickable.
This is not a bad deal. I was already looking, and batteries and charger available on amazon for 130, but most of the bare tools are much more than $70 more.
Update: this is also available in store. I called and the ignorant girl I spoke to said it was only available online. I had to go get something else there, and found out I could get the deal in-store. Not a bad deal, and better than the deals available on offerup or craigslist.

I prefer the non fuel ratchet for size. Been using one for a few years now
i have the non-fuel one as well. I occasionally break free nuts with the ratchet mechanism, then let her rip. not recommended for heavy torque applications obv. I feel a bit of plastic bend, stop, get out the 1/2 breaker bar ratchet, break it free, then return to this thing. I love it!
How's the ratchet? This is the non fuel version right
90% of my milwaukee is fuel and brushless.
That ratchet might be a rare one brushed tool that i kept using and abusing for years without even considering upgrade.
I even purchase an adapter for using hex bits. So basically it become right angle impact drill/driver. Super handy where i dont have working room and dont require plenty of torque.
Get it you wont regret it.

The newer Fuel High Speed is the only one that is really better for most uses to be honest. Until that one came out the OG brushed unit was by far the smallest so it actually fit the most places. The Fuel High Speed is not a lot bigger unlike the older fuel models, and it's about 2x as fast, which does make a big difference if you use it a lot. For casual use TBH this one is great though.
Is there a better deal that pops up for just the little circular saw? I have a few of these batteries already and just prefer to avoid the marketplace reselling stuff.
Edit: I'm wrong. You have to have a store selected that has them in stock. Then it allows you to do it for either delivery or pickup. If a store doesn't have stock it acts like it's sold out, regardless of option.
Deal is dead I think - on the full page, the "free item" thing isn't clickable and it says the deal has sold out. Not specific to an item - seems like no items are available to select.
