I bought this unit on a prior deal.

It works great on charging phones, tablets and even laptops without any issue. But, there is one thing of note, the charging speed of the pack itself varies wildly. It will start at a pretty high rate, around 80W but by the time its around the 50% mark its all the way down to like 20w-25w range which means it will take a good while to charge completely.

As long as you are aware that thing thing will require extra time to charge, then its a fine product.

It's possible that's related to the device you're charging since that's how most lithium ion batteries charge, they charge faster initially and slow down as they get closer to 100%

No, its definitely this particular battery pack. I'm using an Anker 200W desktop charger that charges my ecoflow 25Kmah, Cuktek 10Kmah, BaseUS 20Kmah, Talix 20kmah and a few other battery packs at full speed for much longer than this pack. The Talix for example (since its the last one I charged) was charging at 89watts all the way from 0 to ~89% before slowing down to the 65W range then gruadually dropping from there. I am also using the BaseUS digital readout cables so I know exactly how much power is going into the battery pack.

Most definitely an internal heat issue on this particular model of the battery pack. While most battery packs get warm while charging, this one is noticeably hotter than usual. I will take a heat reading the next time I use it since I have a laser temp probe on my desk.

That's actually a good thing usually because it's preventing overheat.

In terms of longevity, this one will probably last longer than average... with that notable tradeoff.

I use this one around the office when I'm exhausted and need a nap. I'm not geriatric, just a workaholic.

I have the PowerAdd brand version of this exact power pack and it's great! I believe it was theirs originally. None the less, mine does not charge or act how yours is. It's warm but not hot when charging, and it'll be at well above 25w at over 50% charge when charging from almost depleted.

I too use a power display cable when changing it, and the cable display pretty matches the power display of the battery pack. With a 65w brick, it'll fully charge in less than 2 hours and you can literally watch it charging as the numbers increase by a percent every minute or so. Perhaps you may have a defective unit? Unless this brand operates the pack much differently than the one that I have.

I also have the same PowerAdd and can say it operates the same as stated.
