Panasonic eneloop AAA batteries are valued as long lasting rechargeable cells that work well in most AA and AAA devices, with the main appeal being dependable everyday use and a strong cycle life. The packaging says Made in Japan, and the standard line is favored over the Pro line for its much higher cycle count, while the Pro version is described as higher capacity but shorter lived. The main cautions are the 1.2 volt output versus 1.5 volt alkalines, possible low battery indicator quirks, and the risk of counterfeit stock on Amazon. A solid rechargeable option if you want reliable AAA power without disposable batteries.

Rechargeable Nimh cells are actually about 1.3 volts fully charged, are near 1.2 volts most of their discharge cycle, and then drop to about 1 volt when discharged.
They work just fine in anything that calls for aa/aaa. The only issue you might have is battery life indicators or low battery warnings not working properly.

Other than devices that have strangely small physical battery bay connections for the + end of the battery so that the eneloop's slightly larger diameter nub won't physically fit into and make an electrical connection, I have yet to find any device that won't work at all with NiMH cells.
I've modded more than one pair of over ear Bluetooth headphones to mount an 18650 cell holder on the side, so I can have replaceable 18650s instead (and one of those will last for weeks/months before they need to be swapped).
