The new MILWAUKEE 3/8" Stubby Impact Wrench delivers the Most Power, Is Lighter Weight & More Compact while delivering 50% Faster Application speeds. Leveraging POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, The Stubby Delivers 0-3,000 RPM with up to 550 ft-lbs of Nut Busting Torque, allowing the removal of the most corroded and stubborn applications. This Milwaukee solution delivers on performance and size, at only 2.2 lbs bare tool. Users will experience less fatigue throughout their work week while fitting into tight spaces and allowing access where larger impacts can't fit without using additional accessories or disassembling components to reach the desired fastener. Equipped with Tri LED work lights to illuminate your work area without the frustration of shadows. 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL for greater precision and customization to your desired power output, including AUTO SHUT-OFF that applies no more than 15 ft-lbs of torque for hand-tight applications that prevent overtightening when in forward. In reverse, bolt removal mode will slow down the RPM once the bolt is free to prevent bolts from flying around your work area. To change the modes, it is a single-handed operation. By shifting the forward-reverse shuttle into neutral and double-tapping the trigger, you will be able to change modes effortlessly.

Milwaukee's M12 FUEL stubby impact wrench stands out as a compact 3,8 inch tool that hits hard, especially with the included 5.0 Ah high output battery. The 3,8 size fits tighter spots and matches common Torx and triple square sockets, while the battery is compatible with standard M12 chargers. The main drawback is that the deal is not the lowest seen, and the 3,8 setup may push extra spending on impact sockets. It is a strong compact option if that size fits your work.
DIYers who already own 3/8-inch sockets, because the compact drive matches common Torx and triple-square fasteners.
People already satisfied with a first-generation stubby or mid-torque wrench, because this upgrade is described as unnecessary unless the smaller size is needed.
The 3/8-inch version is preferred when you want sockets like Torx or triple-square and already own 3/8 impact sockets. The 1/2-inch combo is also listed at the same price, but the 3/8-inch model is the better fit for tighter work and existing 3/8 socket sets.
If your current tool already fits the jobs you do, you probably do not need the upgrade. The 2nd-gen stubby is reported to be much stronger than the first-gen and useful when an M18 mid-torque is too large for tight spaces.
Deals of the Day and other special buy promotions are reported as not price-matchable. A price adjustment through chat has worked for some orders, but it may be treated as a one-time courtesy and sometimes requires a return-and-reorder for timed sales.
The bundle is considered strong because the stubby form factor is compact and the included 5.0Ah High Output battery adds value. Some shoppers still view it as only okay because similar bundles were seen for $159 earlier, and the 3/8-inch version may require buying additional impact sockets.
Yes. A standard M12 charger will charge the battery, though it is not the fastest or most efficient option. The slower charge can also be preferable for battery longevity.
Damn, I just bit on the $206 Home Depot deal a few days ago. I'd have to take a ride share to return it so not worth it. Feel like a sucker.
Just use the customer service chat feature and they should price match you. I did that when I bought a M12 heated hoodie last year, and instead of dropping my price down by $20, he ended up dropping the price TO $20 in error. That was a killer score.

Just did customer service chat. Rep says, "Deals of the Day" & other special buy promotions can't be price matched. Really appreciate you trying to help, though. Thank you, Taco!

Try again with a different service rep. You aren't price matching you are price adjusting for HD's own lower price. I just did the price adjustment and got my $23 back by the end of the chat. Good luck.
Ahhh, screw it. I got one. I have a 12V 1/2 DeWalt that rips and love the darn thing, however more often than not I want something that's 3/8 for sockets such as torx or triple square.
Very good deal especially considering that it comes with a battery.

I just tried w/ another rep, & got the adjustment. Was told this was a 1 time courtesy, & they don't adjust for timed sales. The required process is to return & reorder. Doesn't make sense to me cuz that just wastes their time. Thank you for letting me know you were able to get an adjustment. Thank you both, Taco & rmt! Repped!
I own the first gen stubby still going strong probably 5 years plus old. I want a 2nd gen . I don't really need it bc I have the first gen. I am seriously considering getting one on this deal.
Does a standard m12 charger work to charge this battery?
Of course it does! M12 charger will charge a m12 battery . It's not the fastest or most efficient way but there's nothing wrong with a standard m12 charger. Many people will say they prefer the slower charge for longer battery life.

Anyone who's been holding out on picking themselves up one of these, you won't be disappointed.
What these can do in such a small form factor is game changing, especially when paired with the 5.0 HO batteries like that comes free with this. 👌
