Milwaukee's M12 FUEL stubby impact wrench stands out as a compact 3 8 inch tool that punches above its size, especially with the included High Output 5.0 Ah battery. The 3 8 drive fits Torx and triple square sockets well, and the battery is standard M12 charger compatible. The deal also looks stronger if the battery can be resold or if the tool fills a tight spot where an M18 mid torque will not fit. The main caveat is that full output depends on the 5.0 battery, and the 3 8 setup may require buying more sockets.

Common Questions (5)

Deals of the Day and other special buy promotions reportedly cannot be price matched, but a price adjustment may still be possible through chat. Some reps have refunded the difference on recent purchases, while others said the process requires a return and reorder.

The second-generation stubby is a major upgrade over the first-gen and is especially useful when an M18 mid-torque does not fit in tight spots. If your current tools already cover those situations, the upgrade is optional rather than necessary.

Yes, a standard M12 charger will charge the battery. It may be slower than a dedicated fast charger, but it is compatible and usable.
garycoleman BigTonyTones RelaxedPenguin2752
The 3/8-inch model is the better fit if you use Torx, triple-square, or other 3/8-inch sockets and want a compact tool for tighter spaces. The 1/2-inch version is also the same price, but the 3/8-inch is the preferred choice for many socket setups.
ortence91 eeagle Spyro777
Yes. The advertised 550 ft-lbs output requires the High Output 5.0Ah battery; with 2.0Ah, 3.0Ah, or 4.0Ah batteries, performance drops below the previous 350 ft-lb generation. The included battery is also the one that makes the bundle most worthwhile.

This seems to be the lowest price iv seen on it . What are the thoughts?

Yeah. It is for this combination. I got it with 2 3ah batteries for $159. I have 2 1/2 inch but have been waiting on a worthy deal on a 3/8.

The 36 piece packout socket set sells for 175 normally. Add the Tool deal and socket kit and price is 358 so nothing special. Socket set is way overpriced but if you wanted it choose the tool deal then it gives you a choice to "buy with" for 5% off. You'll get both for $350.

If a Mil/Vet this is just too hard to pass up $164.70 @shopmyexchange.com HD link
also, the 1/2 in is also the same price, but a quick review of the use of forums convinced me the 3/8" is the choice for me.
