For impact use, get the 1/2" drive. Will come with larger sockets also, the ones you often are more likely to need an impact wrench on.

I bought this set for my small impact wrench last month when it was on sale at a similar price. I've used it a couple of times, and it has held up very well so far. Seems to be decent quality.

I understand that, but there really isn't much need for "impact" rated sockets in these smaller sizes. Smaller bolts are rarely ever torqued that tight and a standard socket set would work.

I used to think this, but came around because battery-powered 3/8 impacts have become more common and more powerful. They serve the purpose of making a brake job or tire rotation go a lot quicker. 1/2 impact wrenches are heavier which is a disadvantage if you're using it a lot when a 3/8 would do the job. I've seen a lot of indications that a lot of mechanics use a Milwaukee 12v 3/8 impact for a huge percentage of their work.
