A non-breathable waterproof vest seems sort of useless, am I missing something? The inside will get wet pretty fast because of all the exposed openings and it'll stay wet because it's trapped beneath a waterproof layer and you with only the edges exposed, which will keep wicking in water as long as it's in wet conditions.

When it's not raining, you'll still get wet from sweat, especially since there's a TPU liner, which is 100% not breathable. I've spent a lot of time outdoors in just about every condition there is: This seems like a bad product to me.

Don't wear this with cotton hoodies if you do, go with something synthetic or wool: When it's cold and wet, cotton stays wet and cold. Something like wool will dry faster and still keep you warm when wet.

I think this is more for someone not looking to be in the elements very long where the problems you posed aren't a factor. Kinda like an umbrella to walk across a parking lot or such.

I don't understand the point of vests at all tbh. If they're for warmth, aren't one's arms still going to be cold? Why not just wear a jacket?

If people wear them because they think they look good, that's fine, but I can't wrap my head around wearing one for any other reason.

Tbh I thought the same. But when you work with your hands/arms for instance, I do deliveries or construction. I don't have to worry about my sleeves rolling up or getting the way. I stay just warm enough to get in/out elements without getting too hot

Facts. I've learned 99.9% of people here don't understand materials and how they work. That's why this product is $20. This is just a plastic bag.Good performance outwear will use combinations of materials and membranes. Unfortunately they will cost $150+.
