I got this one, it's not bad. The flat vacu sealing kinda crushed all the padding.. and the shoulder straps didn't come back to life.
Not the lightest. Good for the price. Just have reasonable expectations

Nylon in the name, "Constructed from tear and waterproof polyester fabrics" in the description, so maybe surprises in store :-)

Thanks for the data points! Is the one you received actually polyester or ripstop nylon, and in what print/color?

I got the black. It might be ripstop but sn't the ripstop I'm used to. It's more like.. some sort of rectangular pattern on it, but it doesn't have a full reinforcing grid? I've seen squares, and I've seen hexagons, and this is nothing of that sort.
It's some sort of polyester, but it's the lower grade type, typical of its price class. No 70d here. Google searching shows it as a 210d rectangle ripstop on Alibaba.

It's webbing and straps are also not high quality, but usable and the zippers are not ykk and a little thin for its intended purposes.

However for the price your getting a very usable pack.

You get some weird tidbits that are included here that aren't even in some more expensive packs. Hiking pole holding straps with top bunjees to hold em; a hydration tube guide; a front sipper pocket with a zipper end hider; and compression straps to keep the bag tight. Even hip pockets which are floating over the strap so that the pocket doesn't get tighter when you cinch down.

But then it's compounded with oddness. The same front zipper hider is accompanied by a zipper pull tab; the zipper is not water resistant; thus making the zipper hider kind of weird.
Said hydration system doesn't have a hook inside to hold a bag, and the only way to really get the tube out is to jam it through the headphone hole. That or the little tiny hole in the top zipper pocket, or where the two zippers meet but then you risk loosing contents in your pack.

There's a more advanced shoulder strap adjuster to pull your pack toward your body but also I guess to only pull it toward you but not down.

On the bright side there is an integrated whistle and even little elastics to hold your belt webbing.

The other color options were cheaper but I wanted a more discreet bag.

These are incredibly flimsy but for $12 they're not bad as a throwaway "I've never gone hiking before but I'll try once" bag.

What a deal but 40L is kinda big for my needs. If I didn't already have the Eddie bauer stowaway 20L I would get this. Use it as a packing cube inside a carryon. Doubles as a travel daypack. I like that it has hip pockets

I got this in August for $14 some $$$, and used recently for my small hike vacation. It may too big as a "personal item" in plane if it full. It's light weight compared to regular backpack but with only one main compartment and one secondary, may hard to "organize" some items. Overall, i am happy with my $14 purchase from August...for this trip.
