I have this bike. Be aware that the so called 30ah battery IS ONLY 20AH!!!! (tested with a discharge meter) It is not physically possible to fit 30ah in this case. The front fork has only 3 inches of travel, and will bottom out on any but the smoothest roads.
I also tested the controller, and it is a 25 Amp controller which surprised me! Especially since it is hidden in the hailong battery base. Usually they are 22 amp max. 25 Amps gives you 1365 watts on a fully charged battery!!!
I put hydraulic brakes, signal lights, a new air fork, and a new air rear shock(the stock one is a spring with a fake cannister), and its an awesome bike now....
Top speed is around 30 MPH and Im 245 ibs. it is a very torqueee little motor.

Hey does this bike actually have working tail/break lights? I'm asking because I saw a review on YouTube where they showed it only had a reflector on the rear instead of an actual light? But then I've seen descriptions of it that claim it has a real working light.

I have a cybervello EK12 and absolutely love it...

Unfortunately just a reflector, that's why installed signal lights/tail lights. It's a great starter project . It has a great frame/motor/controller/headlight/and my so called '30 ah' battery is indeed a good 20ah but Cybervelo lost all of my trust when I confronted them with the lie...they offered a 8 dollar compensation and admitted that my battery was 'mislabled'
For reference...even using the highest capacity cells, you cannot physically fit 30ah into that hailong case....with the controller in the base.

You weigh 245lbs and you can hit 30mph with only a 1000w peak motor?! I'm 160lbs and can't hit 30 on my 1500w bike. Are you tracking with the bike display or your phone? No offense... but I call bs. :-P

I stated that the controller puts out 1365 watts (25 Amps) Motor ratings are irrelevant because they are whatever the seller wants to say, the CONTROLLER is what ACTUALLY generates/converts the power for the motor from the battery. This motor hub is rated 1500W (1000 constant) by the manufacturer on Alibaba. I always adjust the tire size to make the speedometer match my phone gps....Don't believe me fine...search youtube B Rich...he has it on camera on one of his reviews ...although he is a smaller guy about your size. 28 to 30 mph is red line for these hub motors depending on the winding... this motor happens to be 30. My Urlife is 28mph with a 18amp controller....or 982 watts.

Cool your jets bruh 😎i wouldn't call bs just yet...

I don't have this particular bike. But I do have the cybervello ek12. 750w motor that surges to 1000. Or some ads claim 1500. Irregardless, it's 750 running watts. I've been able to get it just over 30mph on the flats. I weigh 180 and that's using GPS. I believe I hit 31.5mph. The wattage doesn't always tell the whole tale. We have 2 other 500 running watts e bikes. One tops out at 21 to 22 mph. The other at 26 to 27. Just saying....

It's 1600w(factory stated 1500) peak.....1000w constant.......If you read the product page. With 1365 ACTUAL watts going to the motor from the 25A controller.

How much did you spend upgrading the suspension? The other things you did an optional to me, but I think the suspension upgrade is ma daters for someone weighing 225lbs. Also, any idea of the frame size? I'm about 6'1. This would be my first e-bike. Thx

The air fork is a must!.....I got it for about $100....normally $170...Nov11 is Chinese black friday so it should be on Sale. The rear shock is about 50 on Amazon. Im 6'1 245.......but this is more of a moped than bike....so leg extension while pedaling is optional.
