Obviously, Googlebooks are the future of Google's notebooks, but I just looked up this processor. I'm very surprised it's equivalent to an Apple M1, even if that's five years old. I didn't think Mediatek was that far along. It's still not worth $680 though. I'd say it's worth half that much, even with the Rampocalypse.

Mediatek's higher end processors have been competitive for years.

Why not, people pay $1200 for a MacBook just to use Chrome. This is actually supported longer, has an OLED display and a touchscreen.
