Great bottle. Not a bad deal, although I've seen them for under $30 recently on here. A toss up on colors that go on sale.

I recommend a smaller size, this will be heavy when filled and won't fit in most car cup holders.

Cant justify paying past $17-18 or so since TJMaxx and Ross carries so many types of water bottles, including the double walled stainless steel ones since they're so popular.

FYI, saw a bunch on clearance at Academy for $29.97 jut this morning and there's more colors. Looks like you can probably snag it online too, from my quick google search.

Are these popular just because of successful social media marketing or is there something that actually makes them better than the 20 other brands out there?

Nothing beats Zojirushi when it comes to keeping drinks cold. This is an overall consensus among the water bottle nerds.

As for this unit, the 1* reviews are concerning. From rust and mold to that complicated lid falling apart with the company not adequately Warranteeing these issues.

This is the older version. My Home Goods had this size in the newer version for $30, mixed colors. Newer = better handle

Just marketing. We were at Dicks the other day and I showed my daughter a bottle nicer with more options, double sip access areas and locks, literally better in every way than Owala and it was $40. She asked what brand it was I said "Not Owala", so she said no thank you. Entire school uses Owalas, including teachers. If you don't - you're not cool.
