Community Reviews
This Onn 256 GB microSD Express card is mainly attractive for Switch 2 and other Express devices, where it can deliver much faster speeds, while still working in older devices at reduced UHS 1 speeds. The price looks strong versus other cards, and the bundle has been getting through with some promo code combinations and store pickup. The main concern is reliability, with multiple reports of cards failing after months to a little over a year, including replacements. It is a solid value on paper, but long term durability is the big question.
Switch 2 owners who want extra game storage, because the card works well in the console and delivers much higher speeds in an Express-capable device.
Makers using an older device that only supports standard microSD, because the card still works for storage at reduced UHS-1 speeds.
Shoppers comparing capacity per dollar, because 256 GB is a strong value versus other SD card options at similar prices.
People storing irreplaceable photos or saves, because the card can fail after months of light use and has been reported to die after about a year.
Security camera setups that need dependable long-term recording, because the card can be overkill for that use and high-endurance storage is a better fit.
Buyers who need a card to last through heavy everyday use, because the card has failed in multiple reports even with light use.

No banana for me I guess.
Electrons have consequences, and some conducted themselves poorly.
ElectionsElectrons and their consequences have been a disaster for the human race.I believe the people who say they work fine, just sharing my experience. I'll prob try a 3rd time at this price.
A 256 GB MicroSD Express card inserted into a Nintendo Switch 2 or another Express-capable device can achieve much higher speeds.
The same card inserted into an original Nintendo Switch, a phone, camera, or PC card reader that lacks Express support should still work for storage, but only at the speeds supported by that device.
Presumably though you should be able to find a non-express 256GB for cheaper than the new and improved version, but we aren't living in rational times so who knows. I guess future-proofing makes sense too.

On the other hand, I upgraded to that outrageously expensive Lexar 1TB from the Costco deal this year but I needed the extra space for these games.
