IMHO, you're not getting that great of a value upgrade doing that w/ this deal.
First of all, your polk speakers are great speakers.

Both your polk and these alpine have great silk dome tweeters.
I hardly doubt the built in crossovers in the alpine coaxials have improved technologically.

If you really want a meaningful upgrade, look to the ; JL Audio S2 line, Infinity Kappa 63XF, etc.

This goes w/out saying, but if you have your speakers connected to an amp, it'll really bring them to life.
Amps have dropped in price tremendously over the years, the tech has gotten much better, and the footprint has gotten much smaller.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like to discuss this topic further.

Exactly. Class D amps are amazingly efficient and inexpensive compared to class A&B from +10yrs ago. I have an Arc Audio X2 850.5 which is a 5-channel 2-ohm stable amp powering all 4 surround speakers plus a 10" sub and it stays cool at normal listening volume, and get just slightly warm at high volume for sustained periods. I recently bought a VEVOR 3000W ClassD mono sub amp for $112 (only because it was here on SlickDeals, not because I actually needed it lol!) and it actually pushes close to 3000W at 1 ohm which is insane power for that price. I disconnected the 5th channel of my amp and now I'm using the VEVOR amp for my sub which is a dual 2 ohm voice coil 10" sub wired in series to take advantage of the 1 ohm stable amp to get max output.

Arc audio has as reputation for nice amps. I almost used their products in my rebuild a couple years ago.

I had a pretty bichin' system at the time until something electrical went wrong w/ my truck and fried everything after 10 years of usage (down to the speaker wires getting fried and needing to be replaced).

I was shocked to see how tiny amps have become and are even smaller now after a few years. I had the misfortune of having to replace the stereo, speakers, and amps during the "chip shortage" era, so finding slickdeals was limited to crappy brands. I basically had to call all over Houston and found the JL audio dealer w/ the lowest prices. Picked up a D4S amp (which I replaced later b/c that brand is totally overrated IMHO).
