This AmEx Walmart.com offer is best for straightforward online Walmart spending, and physical Walmart gift cards appear to be the most reliable workaround. The offer has shown up on some additional cards, including Blue Cash Preferred and Blue Cash Everyday, and the wording allows one or more purchases to reach the $50 threshold. Physical gift cards have worked in prior deals, while online gift cards code differently and Walmart+ renewals are excluded. Delivery can arrive in a FedEx mailer, with no hold for pickup option.
Common Questions (4)
Physical Walmart gift cards have worked for this offer, including orders placed for delivery. Online gift card purchases may code as "Walmart Gift Card" instead of "Walmart," which can matter for triggering the credit.
It can appear on additional cards, including authorized user accounts. In one case it showed on only one of four cards, while another account had it on all additional card holders.
Yes. The offer wording says "one or more" purchases, so multiple smaller Walmart.com transactions can be combined to reach the $50 threshold.
No. The offer terms exclude membership purchases, so a Walmart+ renewal does not count toward the $50 spend requirement.
