Community Reviews
This DEWALT cordless brushless multi tool is being praised as a handy, versatile tool for cutting and other home projects, with the newer version called out for a few improvements over the older model. The newer design is described as having more power, better vibration absorption, brighter lighting, improved ergonomics for angled cuts, and support for both regular and star blades. The main wrinkle is pricing and model confusion, since the listing has shown both $99 and $199 and the photo appears to match the older DCS356D1 rather than the newer DCS359. It looks like a solid pick if the lower price appears at checkout.
The DCS356D1 multi-tool can be purchased for $99 when the listing price updates correctly.
The newer DCS359 version reportedly adds improved vibration absorption for more comfortable long-period use.
The newer version reportedly supports both regular and star blades for more flexible accessory compatibility.
The newer version reportedly includes a brighter light and improved ergonomics for cutting angles.
The checkout price can vary by location and cart behavior, with some carts showing $199 instead of $99.
The listing may not always match the newest model, since the DCS356D1 appears to be an older variant than the DCS359.
The $99 deal may have been limited to a short special-of-the-day window rather than a steady price.
The product photos may show an older multi-tool head that lacks extra anti-vibration features.
