I have looked at these before and just could not see paying $99.00 for one. At $49.00 plus a BOGO for an extra battery, it's $53.00 out the door for me. I just ordered on at my local Lowe's for pickup. Thanks OP.

Same. Great price w the 2 batts and honestly, even though I have more professional tools, I probably will use the studfinder and dinky laser now and then.
At 800rpm, this feels like something I could hand my parents, who are not handy, and they could manage.
Way more capable and probably more longevity vs the popular 4v screwdrivers that abound. Some of my 12v Bosch/Dremel batteries are about 15 years old, still juicin.
If you have a Bosch 12v tool, this is worth buying just for the battery alone. I think when I bought mine, it came with a 3ah battery, w00t.. google the cost of that battery, it's $70-$80 depending on where you buy it. This is a steal, the tool itself is "meh" but the 12v battery is awesome.
Drill comes with a battery, charger, and set of drill bits. This deal includes a free 2nd battery. These 12v Dremel batteries are interchangeable with the Bosch 12V line.
Title is a bit deceiving, this only comes with x1 battery. The drill is pretty crappy as a drill but nice it comes with a laser level and stud finder in one. And even for x1 battery it's a solid deal

Scroll down a little further, buy this, get a free item, the free item is another battery.

The ad shows a free gift that you add to your cart.....an extra battery.
The original Dremel tool uses a plastic coupler, a critical component which breaks from use or just aging. Poor design! Hope this one does not share the same kind of thoughtless design!

Well, I just pulled the trigger on this deal!! Why, I'm not too sure, but the free battery was the right amount of sweetener for me to lose in my toolbox.

The original Dremel plastic coupler is a $3 replaceable part. Having a softer material in the linkage such as nylon or another plastic can prevent damage to a more expensive part of the assembly if the tool is stalled or caught on something. You can of course buy more expensive rotary tools that are more durable for production environments.
I see no reason why this drill would share that rotary tool design, but Dremel is a Bosch company, and I've disassembled several 12v Bosch drills and many of them have plastic spacers, retaining pieces, plastic housing for the planetary gears, and some of those drills are 15 years old still running fine.
