This is a 512GB microSD Express card for Switch 2, and the main draw is getting the right high speed format for Nintendo's new console. Costco's $89.99 price lands below Walmart and well under other major retailers, with the 512GB Express market still sitting above older regular microSD pricing. The card is confirmed to work with Switch 2, and the speed requirements explain why compatible cards cost more. A website shipping error is also being reported, with customer service saying to try again later. A solid option if you need Switch 2 compatible storage now.

  • The deal can be priced below Walmart while still coming directly from Costco.

  • The card is described as compatible with Switch 2 because it uses microSD Express requirements.

  • The comments explain that Switch 2 needs specific read and write speeds, which helps justify the Express card pricing.

  • The $89.99 price is framed as relatively strong versus historical Express pricing in 2025.

  • The card is described as not working with regular microSD cards because Switch 2 requires microSD Express specifically.

  • The comments note that Express cards cost more than regular microSD options, which may limit value if Express compatibility is unnecessary.

  • Customer service reportedly treated a shipping error as a known website issue and only advised trying again later.

So I got the shipping error last night and placed an order with the faster, paid shipping option. This morning I was able to place it with free shipping, and was able to cancel my other paid shipping option.

That one would not no.
This is not true. This is a microSD Express card, which the Switch 2 requires. It can't take a standard microSD card.

They were asking if the $22 one someone else linked would work with the Switch 2 - I was saying it wouldn't.

Does this meet or exceed the V30 standard? GoPro cameras are picky.

lol at the people saying "Great price" or "Nice deal"
a lot of you must have been living under a rock the past few years if you think these are now deals..
Wym, this is a slick deal for today's reality. Great thing about Costco is that you can return if things change in the immediate future, however unlikely.

Just bought on the Costco website with Standard shipping. I plan on hopefully getting a Zelda Switch 2 in store by just walking in shortly after release. I was going to defer the microSD card but even my 256GB on my Switch OLED is full and I'll probably download most of the games for playing on the soon to be acquired Switch 2.

I am 99.9% a digital gamer (gestures to a metric ton of crap in my apartment) I somehow have like five (new) Switch 1 physical games. I was eyeing a few others but the digital game is cheaper than the physical. The only exception moving forward is for Nintendo-published games which seem to only be cheaper physically than digitally.

A microSD card is way smaller than a Switch game case.

Just bought one. Looking at slickdeal history, 512GB microsd cards were as low as $30 in 2025, but 512GB microsd express cards in 2025 only went as low as $65-70 with the standard pricing at about $80. So I think this is a pretty nice deal considering the market/inflation nowadays. Now if you only needed a regular microsd card, you may need to wait a little longer

I really hope the golden days to come back : $22 for 512GB on Apr 7, 2025 -- https://slickdeals.net/f/18234763-sandisk-512gb-imagemate-pro-microsdxc-uhs-1-memory-card-with-adapter-up-to-200mb-s-sdsqxbd-512g-aw6ka-21-53

Edit : Damn people! understand the intention, I am not saying the same card was sold for $22. I just want the low price memory days to come back!
I regret not buying it last year 😭
