Lol. No. Not even close. The '90s had Misery, Scream, Interview with the Vampire, Sleepy Hollow, The Sixth Sense, and so many more that are above this.

None of those you listed is scarier than Event Horizon.

Not a single one of those is even remotely similar to Event Horizon. That's like putting The Thing in the same bucket as Fatal Attraction and The Dead Zone...

The 'lol' is a dead give away. You probably didn't even watch this without being a snob. Grown ass dudes literally walked out of the movie because they couldn't watch it. My friends were begging me to leave with them, some left before the end and waited outside.

I rewatched Misery about a month ago after not seeing it for well over 20 years and that scene is still so hard to watch. Like, my ankles anticipate the pain in that scene and just start to hurt.
I'm horrible at trying to rank movies I like once it gets to a certain point. I have no idea what my top 10 or even 20 are - the list changes and rotates all the time. I liked Event Horizon, but any time I think of the late Sam Neill in a horror movie, I instantly want to watch In the Mouth of Madness for the hundredth time, and I know that movie will always be floating around near the top of my list.

Damn! Excellent call on In the Mouth of Madness! I somehow mentally put it in the 80s. Might have to retract my statement about Event Horizon being the best 90s horror movie...

Dude, they said horror
Not suspenseful mystery thrillers
