It's an OK deal price-wise, but i would definitely not get this deal when visible just usually runs a 50% off deal for black friday on their annual plus pro plan ($225, $18.75/month effective), and you get 15 mbps hotspot (instead of 5mbps on base plan), and prioritized data. Way better plan for longer term.
That said, I personally have visible pro plus, which is the same high priority data like verizon's higher end post paid plans, which won't get slowed down in congested areas. Like powerfulgame, I also find that verizon has some noticeable deadzones. For me it's usually inside of large stores.
Every service has some deadzones, but it seems like verizon's have gotten worse over the last 5 years with the whole 5g transition. Even so, the service is pretty solid, and data speeds are good unless you're in a deadspot.
Community Reviews
Visible is a low cost unlimited talk, text, and data plan that can work very well on Verizon coverage, especially outside crowded areas. The promo price is strong, and the service has been solid in some major cities and even better than T Mobile in South Florida. The base plan is deprioritized, so speeds can slow to a crawl in dense places, indoors, basements, or around big events, with hotspot speeds around 4 to 5 Mbps. Voicemail notifications also remain unfixed. It is a practical budget option if your local Verizon signal is strong.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. The base Visible plan uses unlimited QCI 9 deprioritized data, so speeds can slow down when the network is busy. It can be fine in low-congestion areas, but in dense places like concerts, sporting events, or some buildings it may become very slow or unusable.
Chicago is a weak spot for Visible in these comments, with reports of hit-or-miss service and dead zones where data drops out. It can work well in other major cities, but congested areas and indoor locations can be much less reliable.
Yes. The base plan is described as having about 5 Mbps hotspot speeds, and heavy use can cut speeds further to around 4 Mbps. It remains usable, but the higher-tier Visible+ plan is noted for 15 Mbps hotspot and prioritized data.
Visible+ is the better choice if you want prioritized data and more consistent performance in congested areas. It also includes faster hotspot speeds, and one long-term user says the extra $10 per month was worth it.
