All reciprocating saws I've seen have a linear back and force movement of the blade clamp. If you attach those arc blades posted here - they will cause the reciprocating saw in your hands to constantly move up and down. I don't think that I'd want that to happen and would rather buy straight blades.

Curved blades are the shape of choice for pruning. Hence why youll never see a straight blade pole saw.

Using blades like this the saw dosent bounce at all, you use the guide plate the same as any other straight blade. You can certainly tell the difference as you "rock" the blade through the cut. These are a purpose made blade (pruning), not a general use blade.

6 TPI with deep gullets makes this a pruning blade, not a general-purpose one. At $3.33 each that's cheap for green wood.

I bought a 3 set of EZARC blades similar to these on Amazon a little over a year ago (4.6/2700 rating now). Still on the first blade. The other 2 are still in the wrapper. $20 for the 3.

We have 2+ acres of Florida scrub. Lots of wild grape vine (grr), Brazilian Pepper and Hog Plum trees. I have beaten the living crap out of this blade in the past year managing this crap and it is still going strong.

A 4.4 rating and only 339 rates on these Tolesa blades makes me leery of them. I also noted reviews saying they are breaking at the saw connection.

As the EZARC blade is working great, I am sticking with them.

hmm might give this a try to use on dry twigs to save my other blades. I've been using Milwaukee/Demon carbide pruning blades. They cut thru roots like butter and they dont get dull for a long time.
