This Costco in store deal is for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 GPS plus cellular, and the main draw is the steep price drop on a rugged model with sapphire glass, extra battery headroom, and 5G plus satellite support. Stock has been showing up at specific warehouses even when the website says out of stock, and several locations were confirmed with multiple units. Price matching has also worked through Best Buy in some cases, though local stock appears to matter for approval. The main hesitation is that the newer S12 and Ultra 4 chip is seen as a meaningful upgrade, so this is a strong value if the current feature set is enough.
In-store availability can differ from the website, with multiple warehouses reporting units despite online out-of-stock status.
Price matching can succeed through Best Buy, including cases where the first attempt failed and a second agent approved the match.
Some shoppers report easy price-match adjustments after buying earlier, including returning if the price drops again.
Finding the watch in person can be straightforward, since staff reportedly confirmed stock after shoppers walked into the store.
In-store stock can still be location-specific, so some stores may not have units even when other warehouses do.
Best Buy price matching may fail when the item is not in stock locally, even if the deal price looks favorable online.
Price-match outcomes can depend on the support channel, since iMessage chat support reportedly would not budge while another method succeeded.
The Ultra 3 deal may feel less compelling if shoppers prefer newer chip performance from Series 12 or Ultra 4 models.
