The Pixel 10 Pro XL stands out for strong camera features, especially Pro Res Zoom and 100X zoom, along with solid everyday performance and prompt updates. Battery life, heating, reception, and fingerprint use are described as improved over earlier Pixels, and the phone is praised as a solid daily driver. The main knock is price, with $849 called too high compared with used, refurbished, or newer alternatives. A few comments still flag lingering heat issues, so the value depends on how much the camera and Pixel software matter.
Pixel photographers who want stronger zoom, because Pro Res Zoom and 100X zoom make the camera upgrade feel worthwhile.
People who keep a phone for years and want fewer hardware annoyances, because the 10 Pro XL can fix battery, heating, reception, and fingerprint issues in daily use.
Deal shoppers may find lower-cost purchase paths because used-good units were reportedly obtained for $566 and Used Like New options were $112 less than the deal price.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL can be a strong upgrade from a Pixel 9 XL because it reportedly fixes battery, heating, reception, and improves fingerprint usability.
$849 is widely viewed as overpriced for this phone. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is described as a solid device, but several comments say it only becomes good value when significantly discounted, with cheaper used or refurbished options available.
Compared with the 9 Pro XL, the main upgrade cited is Pro Res Zoom and 100x zoom, which can make the upgrade feel worthwhile. Compared with the Galaxy S22+, it is described as stronger in most everyday tasks, though some note Samsung can feel faster at app opening and that the Pixel is not a great value unless discounted.
Yes. A Used Like New unit was mentioned for $112 less than the deal price, and another buyer reported getting a used-good moonstone unit for $566. Refurbished Galaxy S26 Ultra pricing was also cited as lower than this deal.
It can improve those problem areas, especially compared with the 9 Pro XL, with reports of better battery life, less heating, improved reception, and a more usable fingerprint sensor. However, the phone can still get hot, so the heating issue is not universally fixed.
Verizon is selling Pixel 11 Pro 256GB for $480, 512GB for $600 - XL models are $720 and $840. Since you are paying full price, the phone comes unlocked out of the box. This can be paired with a Simplicity plan. Since there is no contract, you can cancel anytime. Try R10 and C1/C1S offers for some additional cashback.
Absolutely horrible phone. Wanted something different after 8 years of Samsung Ultra's and Active's. Saw the decent reviews of this alleged 'flagship'. My mistake to ignore criticism's about the battery and app optimization. This phone is absolute garbage. By far the worst battery life of any phone I've owned in the last 10 years. I have a used S22+. That phone is faster opening apps than the 10 Pro XL. That used phone's battery lasts as long as the 10 Pro XL. So...if the only thing you want from a phone is decent pictures -which many phones can match- and a phone that gets prompt updates....then that Pixel 10 Pro XL delivers. Other then that, it's garbage and I suggest a avoiding it.
I too own s22+ and Pixel 10 Pro. The 10 Pro outperforms the S22+ in nearly every way imaginable. I'm not a Pixel fanboy. They are not great value for money unless significantly discounted. However that doesn't mean they are not capable phones, especially the Pro line.
Samsung has gone off the rails imo with over the top pricing and bloatware. Obviously the Google ecosystem is insanely intrusive and overbearing as well. I may try Graphene this winter when I have time to fiddle with it. Not bashing your experience with these phones. Just saying mine is the opposite at this stage.
Also, $849 for this phone is not a good deal. Way overpriced. Then again, sheeples are paying over 2 grand for a Duo. Lol.

Horrible deal. I have the 9xl it's great and almost the same specs. These come out new at like $900 and a year later you can buy for $450
The Pro Res Zoom alone makes the upgrade from a 9 Pro XL to a 10 Pro XL worth it. it's game changing. I have both phones. you also gain 100X zoom along with the Pro Res Zoom and the pics are better.
As someone who has used every single pixel since the 4th, one of the most rewarding changes was from 9XL to 10XL.I struggled with every iteration until the 10XL and the 10XL ended my compulsion to upgrade to see if the issues are "finally fixed" in the newest generation. The 10XL finally fixed (my use case) battery issues, heating issues, reception, and to an extend made the fingerprint sensor issues which gave me a lot of issues through every generation, now it's usable, as long as I remember center my thumb properly though.9XL was heating issues, reception issues, stutters, etc. and the fingeprint still was unusable for me so there you go.
10 Pro XL can and does get flat out hot still. In my eyes that not fixed yet.

I totally agree with this opinion. Rather than buying Google Pixel, you'd be better off getting a Galaxy phone that's 1-2 generations older, as it would offer better chipset performance.
