The Pixel 10 Pro XL comes across as a strong large-screen Pixel for photos, updates, and, in some cases, better battery, heat, reception, and fingerprint performance than earlier models. The 10XL is described as a meaningful fix over the 9XL for those long running Pixel issues, and the phone is also called great for desk work. The main drawback is price, with the $849 tag seen as too high versus older Pixels, Swappa, and newer Pixel 11 offers. A few comments also flag weak battery life and slower app opening, making it feel like a premium phone with a premium price.
Pixel owners wanting a long-term upgrade, because the phone can fix battery, heating, reception, and fingerprint issues in daily use.
At $849, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is seen as overpriced by several shoppers, especially versus waiting for Pixel 11 promotions or buying used. The main practical argument for paying more is that the 10 Pro XL is reported to have better battery, heating, reception, and fingerprint behavior than earlier Pixels.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL is described as very similar to the Pixel 9 XL in specs, and one 8 Pro owner says they would not upgrade to it at this price. A separate long-time Pixel user says the 10 Pro XL is the first model that meaningfully fixed their battery, heating, reception, and fingerprint issues.
Battery life and app speed are reported as weak points for some users, with one describing the battery as the worst in 10 years and app opening slower than a used S22+. Another long-time Pixel user reports the 10 Pro XL fixed battery, heating, reception, and made the fingerprint sensor usable in daily use.

Horrible deal. I have the 9xl it's great and almost the same specs. These come out new at like $900 and a year later you can buy for $450
A lot has changed in 1 year, in case you have been living under a rock. Not only we have horrible inflation, but the RAM and NAND prices are 400-500% higher.

And that's why this deal sucks.

Way too much, cheaper on swappa and I don't know if I'm allowed to say that so mods just message me if that's not allowed. Pixels are good phones but using them you can feel how underpowered they are. A old s23 ultra feels more powerful than a pixel. Good phone to just sit on the desk and do real like work though.
Absolutely horrible phone. Wanted something different after 8 years of Samsung Ultra's and Active's. Saw the decent reviews of this alleged 'flagship'. My mistake to ignore criticism's about the battery and app optimization. This phone is absolute garbage. By far the worst battery life of any phone I've owned in the last 10 years. I have a used S22+. That phone is faster opening apps than the 10 Pro XL. That used phone's battery lasts as long as the 10 Pro XL. So...if the only thing you want from a phone is decent pictures -which many phones can match- and a phone that gets prompt updates....then that Pixel 10 Pro XL delivers. Other then that, it's garbage and I suggest a avoiding it.

As someone who has used every single pixel since the 4th, one of the most rewarding changes was from 9XL to 10XL.
I struggled with every iteration until the 10XL and the 10XL ended my compulsion to upgrade to see if the issues are "finally fixed" in the newest generation. The 10XL finally fixed (my use case) battery issues, heating issues, reception, and to an extend made the fingerprint sensor issues which gave me a lot of issues through every generation, now it's usable, as long as I remember center my thumb properly though.
9XL was heating issues, reception issues, stutters, etc. and the fingeprint still was unusable for me so there you go.

Yes. Paying full price means the phone comes unlocked out of the box, so it can be used with a no-contract Simplicity plan and canceled anytime.

The 11 series removed MTE and that's a huge downgrade
I don't plan to use graphene, so I don't really care. Running a Motorola 5g ace from 2021 so anything is a huge upgrade at this point for me.
