Not a good price/deal and it's been this price for almost a month now. A much better configuration was available for $50 less just a week ago: https://slickdeals.net/f/20134854-hp-hyperx-omen-15-gaming-laptop-pc-2k-ips-165hz-intel-core-ultra-7-255h-nvidia-geforce-rtx-5060-16gb-1tb-ssd-1149?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arecent%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse
I'm sure it will make rounds again, esp with BF and CM right around the corner.

32gb should be the new standard for these gaming laptops.

This thread seems to be missing a few comments since the last time I checked. Did we have a reckoning here? 😂

The supplied link takes you to an 8gb ram configuration for that price.

I believe you're looking at the video card VRAM, which is 8gb.

Would strongly recommend everyone stay away from HP. They've deteriorated significantly. Their warranty process is a mess. I bought an omen max in November last year and haven't had a working laptop since june. They've been stringing me along and playing games. I've already filed complaints with multiple agencies and am preparing for small claims. Astounded at the experiences I've had from what seemingly has been a reputable company. I'm not the only one. Search reddit an you'll find similar horror stories

I believe you are mistaken. Not only it says 8GB RAM, but it also doesn't mention if the ram is soldered, like it's no big deal.

This laptop has 16gb of system ram. It's in the product title and HP doesn't offer this model with less than that: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp...-c51tpav-1

Based on the ram speed of 5200mt/s, you can assume it is so-dimm units (unsoldered).

You can always return if you discover it otherwise.

Don't buy HP. Their thermal design is nonexistent and they will use the cheapest capacitors sensors whatever they can find. Some 5-cent thing will burn out in 1-2 years and you can throw out your thousand dollar worth CPU and GPU surface mounted to the motherboard.

When my Omen shut down under thermal load I read forums, technical people re-paste their heatsinks, others throw it out. Re-pasting did not help in my case. Luckily I did not let my son smash it with a hammer (however satisfying that was to be), because half a year later another post says the lid close sensor tends to burn out and it just shut down as if it overheated. I disconnected the sensor and voila it is working again. Regardless f,ck HP.

No, that link takes me to a laptop with 8GB system ram. The 16GB configuration is more money.
